Eric Walters Response. Part 2,3

Part 2: I think bullying is a big issue, i am 5'3  I'm in the 6Th grade there is this boy who gets bullied because of his attitude..and he is ''annoying''. I did bully him but i realized it was wrong, and my friends didn't.So i tell my friends to leave him alone but the teachers don't know i was defending him so he went to a teacher and ''ratted'' us all out and the teachers didn't believe i was defending him . So we all got warned and an in school suspension.Part 3:
Short story:
It was the 23 of May, it was a beautiful day for most, but not him. For him it was another horrifying day always having to watch his back just in case they were trying to pull something. The immature kids,or should i say the 'cool' kids.The miniature skate board he always had with him was his best friend.They didn't like him scence day 1. I didn't understand why, i went on to learn the he was possibly the most annoying person I've met. Oh sorry i forgot to introduce myself, I'm Walid I'm in the sixth grade i have 4 four best friends. ''They'' Being my friends.Anyways back to the story, ... he was possibly the most annoying kid I've met.Our dislike for him turned into hatred; most people wouldn't of talked to him, not us we had to go further.Bullying.Its not  like we just randomly hit him his attitude made it worse.I started to think to myself "is what I'm doing wrong or right"? I would try to make excuses but i knew deep down in my heart it was absolutely wrong.That's why i stopped my habits to hit,yell,insult,an give him dirty looks step by step. Till this day i still think he is annoying, but anyways i would tell my friends to ' chill out' or leave him alone when ever they bullied him. As you can see i realized it was wrong and they didn't. The kid had enough he was fed up and so were the teachers. He told the teachers that i wasn't part of it but they didn't care as far as they know i was lying.They judged me from when i did bully him. We all got in school suspensions. But anyway it doesn't matter what i say  the teachers are always perfect, right?

1.)
a.) I learned that music is poetry but with a beat, and singing is poetry but with a melody.
b.) I learned that spoken word is when you say your poetry out loud, as obvious as it is I probably wouldn't of guessed it.
c.) I learned that poetry can be based on anything; life,school,family(etc.), and its how you feel not someone else feels. It can be for someone else but its yours.
2.)
a.) Well anything can be used as inspiration but my poem was a metaphor for bullying and i used many metaphors for bullying and it was sort of like a mini-story.
b.)  If i were to write another poem i would write about poverty and how people are dying from hunger and sicknesses.
c.) Another topic i would write about is my life and how many people and i have it good, we usually get what we want and people in Africa and many other people cant afford to ...basically live.
3.) I was really proud of my middle 3 stanzas, when i said; i sleep all day I'm up all night sort of like Khaleefa exept he doesn't bit
then again i know times 'el change and i know i cant have everything my way the thrown of the jungle; that's my place,but till times change I'll be in my place a nocturnal lion
But for your sake say away from me ....you're an epitome to he the king of the jungle which would be me.

Before i preformed i was EXTREMELY nervous, but as i got to the middle i was feeling comfortable.
5.)
When i finished i had a sense of relief , and i wanted to go back up and do it again.
6.)
 I like Clair's poem, and the way she preformed it.
7.)
Next time i would add more emotion, and i should have timed it  better.

Poetry 3-2-1

3: I want to learn how 'Ritallin' rhymes him poems, and how he comes up with the words.
    I want to learn structure of slam poems; the format.
    I want to learn how they preform, because i have stage fright.

2: I think they really followed the rules of writing a poem when they presented.
    When Greg said; the brainstorming part is important ,it doesn't have to be neat you can write your thoughts all over the paper.

         -What did you learn?

   I learned that first full steam ship was built in Canada (Montreal) by John Molson in the early 1800’s; John Molson also started his own brewery (Molson Canadian).

 

   I learned that every time a new sort of technology is invented, new technologies are needed to support it.

    I learned that approximately 1 million Irish people died because of  Gorta Mór (the Great Hunger) and many, many more people emigrated from Ireland to U.S.A.

     

 -Which technology interests you?

Automobiles: The first car ever made was invented as early as 1769. It used the power of steam. In 1806 the first ‘Internal combustion engine’ was invented using fuel. It was very useful because the only was to get from ‘A’ to ‘B’ was by walking, horse or boat.

-  How did it impact society?

     It was a huge impact to society in many different ways, for example; time. Time is one of the biggest reasons people use cars. In 2001, approximately 70% of Americans drove to work in cars. If there were no cars then the 70% of Americans would have had to walk, bike, fly, take the subway, bus or even ride a horse to work.

 Cars have advantages and disadvantages. Its disadvantages are laziness. People use cars to go across the street.

Another disadvantage is the cost of owning a car. People nowadays pay 15 thousand dollars or more to own a car. And you’d have to pay bout 30 dollars or more for a full tank of gas.

(history is a collection of stories) People from the past didn’t have TVs, radio or the internet; all they had were the newspaper, books, and their own knowledge. So everything they knew came from reading.

Remembrance Day Letter

Dear Mother,

Last week i was promoted to Sergeant Major . I was also stationed in Germany...comes with the job. I need a hair cut its growing out of control but with my shifts i don't think i will be getting one in the next month or so. Enough about me how's Timmy and chancy doing? I hear Timmy made the eighth grade soccer team and Chancy made the seventh grade football team that's good for him. Anyways i have to go boss man is calling me give everyone my regards.Love you mom.

1.) I had no clue who my 'face to face' person was until i read a little about him.

2.) Me and Pierre Elliott Trudeau have only one thing in common...sports.He was a very active person, and into sports like me.

3.)Pierre Elliott Trudeau was the 15th Prime Minister of Canada. He has high school ,elementary school and an  airport all named after him. He also has a portrait of himself on a stamp.

1.)My dream is not listed in any of the sectors...my dream is to become a soccer player and I'm very passionate about it. If that doesn't word out i want to take culinary arts or Architectural Technology & Design .It interests me because i like to make food i think its very fun,and i like to work under time limits because i can learn responsibility from it.

Behind My Name.

Behind My Name: Walid
Before I started this assignment, I thought my name meant: Love because That's what i was told by a family member.I think my parents chose this name for me because: My grandmother told my parents to name me Walid because she is in love with that name.
After searching on Behind the Name  I learned that my name means  New Born Baby.
Some other interesting things I learned are: it also means to be red.

If I could give myself a new name, it would be  i wouldn't change it because i love my name.

EMPATHY.

   Empathy can be interpreted into many different ways a dictionary definition is; Sympathetic, sad concern for someone in misfortune or Understanding. But empathy to me means to feel for someone in their time of need, to be Understanding not necessarily to feel sorry for them but to understand their point of view. This month my class had to preform sort of a play its has to be about empathy. My group had to preform a rap.

   Hi everybody my name is Walid I'm really happy your viewing my blog. This is my first ever blogging account, IMO very excited to be doing this.  I enjoy watching soccer games  I'm a soccer player, my favourite team is Real Madrid. I love the excitement of a goal and my dream is to become a soccer player because i've been playing the game since i was very little i developed a love for it. My favourite t.v show is CSI Miami because i like the way how Horatio Caine and his team find the criminal no matter how clever the he/she is. I like to hang out with friends & watch movies.
